A Century of Michigan Voices for Justice and Peace – and New Directions

A PEACEQUEST EVENT

This program provided a review of the last century of justice and peace activism in the Lansing area and Michigan by the Peace Education Center, Greater Lansing UN Association, MSU/the Michigan Legislature on South Africa, and Friends Committee on National Legislation. This program also featured a birthday celebration of William A. “Bill” Root, 100 year old U.S. Navy veteran of WWII in the Pacific, former U.S. State Department diplomat, and local activist who spoke on “seeking Justice and Peace in our Time.”
