Three presentations regarding:

  • human rights violations in Burundi
  • the potential genocide of Hazaras in Afghanistan, and
  • the human rights issues related to lack of access to Covid vaccines in Africa and across the global South.

We ask that all attendees wear masks.

*Due to the sensitive nature of the topics, we are not offering this event via Zoom.

Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR)

The UDHR is a milestone document in the history of human rights. Drafted by representatives with different legal and cultural backgrounds from all regions of the world, the Declaration was proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948 as a common standard of achievements for all peoples and all nations. It sets out, for the first time, fundamental human rights to be universally protected.
