International Women’s Day 2023

GL-UNA partnered with Zonta District 15 to celebrate International Women’s Day. During this program we learned about climate change and its impact on women and girls.
EVENT PRESENTERS:
Julie Trone
Julie Trone is a former educator and wellness professional who is serving her second year as Club President of the Zonta Club of Fort Collins. She also serves as Chairperson of the District 12 Action for Environment and Gender Equality committee, co-Chair of the Zonta USA Caucus subcommittee on Gender Equality and Climate Change, and a member of the international Zonta Says NOW workgroup. The latter group is responsible for presenting Zonta Says NOW to Gender Equal Climate Action to Zonta International, has presented during the CSW 66 and the Zonta International Convention 2022, and will oversee the creation of this necessary and dynamic new campaign. Julie also serves on the board of Miracles in Action, an NGO in Guatemala that provides nutrition education to families experiencing extreme nutrition deficiencies.
Angela Brokmann
Angela Brokmann has been a Zontian since 2000. Retired from the Military as well as the VA specializing in adult education. Angela has an MBA in Organizational Effectiveness. She taught Command and General Staff College for the US Army for 10 years.
Her focus with Zonta is membership and the mission of Zonta. Currently she is on the US Caucus as the Chair of the Climate Committee, sits on the International Zonta Says Now workgroup, and the Area 2 Director in District 5.
