GL-UNA'S 2026 International Women's Day Program

March 19 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

International Women's Day: VOICES FROM THE FIELD

Advancing the Beijing Declaration on Women’s Rights

Join the Greater Lansing United Nations Association for an International Women’s Day program focused on the United Nations Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.

Adopted in 1995 by 189 countries, the Beijing Declaration established a global agenda to advance women’s rights and gender equality in areas including education, health, economic opportunity, political participation, and protection from violence.

Our speakers will share perspectives from their professional work and discuss how that work advances the Beijing Declaration agenda.

A short question and answer period will follow the presentations.
