Stephanie J. Nawyn, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and the Co-Director of Global Research at the Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen) at MSU explored the topics of migration and gender with a focus on refugee resettlement.

Stephanie J. Nawyn is an associate professor in the Department of Sociology and the Co-Director of Global Research at the Center for Gender in Global Context (GenCen) at Michigan State University. Her research and teaching expertise are in migration, refugees, and gender, with a focus on refugee resettlement and humanitarian assistance for refugees in the Middle East. Her current project examines adherence to COVID-19 safety protocols during services to refugees in Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan. Her most recent articles were published in Journal of Refugees Studies, Journal of Ethnic and Racial Studies, Disaster and Emergency Medicine, and Journal of Immigrant and Minority Health.
